PERSONAL DETAILS
Waison Mupedza was born in Zimbabwe .He lives and works as a full time freelance Artist in Harare, specialising in contemporary art paintings , calligraphy , designing , sculpturing , as well as making post and greeting cards depicting African activities and their environment
EXHIBITIONS
1994 - Taught some disabled children at Cheshire Homes , Kambuzuma , Harare
1995 - Trained at Driefontein Art Workshop , Mvuma , close to Masvingo , Zimbabwe
1996 - Trained at BAT ART Workshop (National Gallery Art Studio School)
1997 - Trained at Dauya Technical College , Harare , and obtained a first Class Certificate in Calligraphy
1997 - Commissioned by Richard Rennie (Pvt)Ltd to do calligraphy lettering on certificates.
1997 - Commissioned by the Academy of Information Technology (Pvt) Ltd, Harare to do some paintings for their rooms.
1997 - Illustrated several times for Badge Company , Borrowdale , Harare
1997 - Commissioned by Munyati Consulting (Pvt)Ltd to do some paintings and designs
1997 - Invited Artist to exhibit works at St George`s College in September
1997 - Commissioned by the Green Route International Company , Harare to do some paintings
1998 - Taught Art Club students at the Makumbi Mission Secondary School , currently known as Visitation High School
1998 - Two -man Exhibition October 8-11 1998 Gallery Innerspace, Westgate , Harare
1998 - Commissioned by Mayo Yoghurt, Harare to do some designs
1998 - One man Exhibition at the Alliance Francaise , Harare
1998 - Participated in the First Mobil ''Zimbabwe Heritage'' Biennale at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe
1999 - Participated in Young Artists Exhibition in January at Gallery Delta
1999 - Two man exhibition at Shades of Africa Gallery in Karigamomber Centre , Harare
1999 - Commissioned to do cards for Green Route Company
1999 - One man Art Show titled New Diversity at Alliance Francaise
1999 - Obtained a Diploma of Achievement in Calligraphy at Dauya Technical College
1999 - Participated in the Zimbabwe Environmental Trust 25th Anniversary Art and Craft Exhibition at the Crown Plaza Monomotapa Hotel , Harare
1999 - Group Exhibition at Verandah Gallery , Emarald Hill , Harare
1999 - Participated in the Group Exhibition of Landscapes at Gallery Innerspace , Westgate , Harare
1999 - Commissioned to do Artworks for Fintech Zimbabwe in October
